More importantly, thanks to applicable tax incentives, the effective cost on this T5 lighting project was negative four thousand five hundred dollars (-$4,520.80). The project was a T5 fluorescent lighting upgrade (from T12) using T5 adapter retrofits on 2-foot, 4-foot, and 8-foot fixtures.

Before the T5 lighting retrofit, Budweiser was using 4-foot 4 bulb T12 fluorescent light fixtures that burned over 160 watts every hour. In addition to drawing too much energy, these light fixtures were subject to U.S. DOE legislation outlawing the outdated T12 technology. Solar Energy USA was able to provide a retrofit solution which dropped these fixtures down to 56 watts per hour, while also resolving the T12 lighting phase out issue.
